Please join the Environmental Committee for a Spring Community Clean-Up event to be held on the first day of Spring, March 20th, 2021 at 10:00am EST. Kindly meet at the ball field if you wish to receive some provided supplies, otherwise, feel free to pick up any litter around your own property. Every piece counts!
Tips for residents to reduce the risk of snakes coming onto their properties:
- Certain plants like marigold, wormwood, West Indian lemon grass, Sarpgandha and garlic are natural repellent against snakes.
- Spreading human hair (taken from a brush or collected after a DIY home haircut) around the perimeter of your yard. Snakes hate humans as much as some humans hate snakes.
- Clove & Cinnamon Oil: Clove and cinnamon oil are effective snake repellents.
- *NOTE* Ammonia is not recommended as it is not environmentally friendly.”
